The 3000 HP modular offshore drilling rig has installed the world's largest plastic e-chain® on a cantilever boom and drill floor. Both energy chains were pre-assembled at the igus® factory in Cologne for a quick installation onto the drilling platform. The two travels of 17.5 m for the cantilever and 8 m for the drill floor carry an fill weight of approx. 200 kg/m.
