Revolutionary TV mount with PRT slewing ring bearing from igus®: Electric TV mount pushMAXI-TELE+ROTO

• What was needed: A slewing ring bearing that enables 360° rotation.
• Requirements: It had to be able to swivel, telescope and rotate up to 360° at the same time. In addition, the innovative unique selling points such as the absence of lubricants to avoid contamination of technical devices, as well as freedom from maintenance and noiselessness for optimum comfort were desired.

The development of the pushMAXI-TELE+ROTO trade show focussed on a central challenge: the space-saving and unobtrusive installation of televisions on the ceiling. Both mechanical functionality and aesthetic design had to be taken into account.

The main focus was on ensuring smooth running. The TV mount had to move silently and smoothly to provide a pleasant viewing experience. In addition, ease of use was of paramount importance to maximise user comfort. Developing an intuitive mechanism that is both precise and smooth was another challenge.

The PRT-01-50 rotary table bearing from igus® proved to be the perfect choice, as it enabled extremely clearance-free rotation and was therefore able to handle the load and leverage forces without any problems. The smooth running of the bearing clearance in particular played a decisive role.

In addition, the NT-35-AR-520 rail was chosen, which was characterised by its high rigidity when extended. The weight characteristics and the possibility of full extension were also decisive factors in the decision. It was also particularly advantageous that the rails are now also available in black, which perfectly matches our requirements.

Thanks to the use of the PRT-01-50 rotary table bearing and the NT-35-AR-520 rail, it was possible to develop a solution that fulfils the highest demands in terms of both functionality and aesthetic appearance.
