Blister packaging machines and filling systems
Polymer products from igus® are used in packaging systems in the pharmaceutical industry, from the dosing station through to labelling.
Regardless of whether this involves the blister packaging of tablets or the filling of medicine bottles: The storage technology must always meet the highest hygienic standards and function reliably without the use of lubricants in maintenance-free dry operation, for example.

Products used and application examples

Below, exemplary stations of blister packaging machines and filling systems for pharmaceutical products and the igus® products used here are shown: iglidur® plain bearings, igubal® pillow block bearings, drylin® linear bearings, lead screw technology or Tribo-Tape sliding foils, among others, were installed here.

For filling, drylin® R linear guides are used in cam-guided circular fillers.

iglidur® P bearings in the flap bearing in the weighing station are maintenance-free and cost-effective.

Rotary table

The surfaces are lined with the iglidur® Tribo-Tape sliding film so that medicine bottles can be fed cleanly and without tipping over from the rotary table to the subsequent stations.

The positioning of films in a blister machine requires the advantages of flat, lubrication-free drylin® W linear guides certified for use in cleanrooms.

Cutting mechanism

drylin® W linear bearing technology is used in the cutting mechanism for the blister film. It is completely lubricant- and maintenance-free.

The seal labelling of blister packs can be flexibly adjusted using drylin® storage technology.
